| Sport Marketing (Diploma, 2 years): Making your mark in the field of sport development and policy, promoting new sports, organizing competitions and events, being involved in sports as an executive director or promotions, or making a splash in sports merchandising, there are numerous opportunities to make a rewarding career in the world of professional and amateur sport. |

| Commercial Baking and Pastry Arts (Certificate, 1 year or less): The Baking and Pastry Arts program provides the fundamentals of baking in the first year and advanced studies in pastry arts in the second year. Practical courses where students learn baking and pastry arts skills in a hands-on environment. |

| Professional Cooking (Certificate, 1 year or less): The Professional Cooking program is designed to satisfy the growing demand for creative and innovative people in the hospitality industry. |

| Meat Cutting (Certificate, 19 weeks): The program provides students with the comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of meat handling, processing, sanitation and management skills required for entry into Alberta’s rapidly growing retail meat cutting trade. |

| Restaurant Service and Bartender Mixology (Certificate, 1 year or less): Classroom theory covers bar terminology, sanitation and storage, customer relations and service, knowledge of beer, spirits, liqueurs and wine, liquor laws and server intervention. The Bar Practicum will include preparing today’s most popular drinks, wine opening and stewarding, cappuccino preparation, as well as beverage service. |

| Legal and Real-Estate Assistant (Certificate, 1 year or less): Provides students with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to effectively support real estate professionals. Legal assistants — help lawyers prepare for closings, hearings, trials, and corporate meetings. They often perform complex research duties, compiling information and writing reports. |

| Managers in Food Service and Accommodations (Diploma, 2 years): Students learn to plan, organize, direct and control the operations of restaurants, bars, cafeterias and other food and beverage services. They work in food and beverage service establishments, or they may be self-employed. |

| Law & Security Administration–Customs Border Services (Diploma, 2 years): Students are prepared for careers as border services officers, import analysts, trade compliance specialists, customs research analysts, and related professions. |

| Sporting Goods Business (Diploma, 2 years): Prepares retail management trainees, while others will work on the supplier side in sales, customer service/inside sales, marketing or in product management for various sporting goods companies. |

| Optician Assistant (Diploma, 2 years): Prepares students for employment at retail optical dispensaries, contact lens clinics, and medical clinics. |

| Corporate Media Production (Diploma, 2 years): Prepares students for production, post-production houses, staging and audio/visual companies, training departments, and media departments of major corporations. Specific positions include corporate events producer, audiovisual technician, and corporate multimedia presentation producer. |

| Energy Audit Techniques (Certificate, 1 year): Prepares graduates for employment with institutions such as energy consulting firms, government agencies, home builders, and engineering consulting firms. |

| Court Support Services (Certificate, 1 year or less): Prepares students with specialized knowledge and skills required to work in various court support staff capacities for the Courts, agencies, boards and tribunals. The program provides specialized evidence recording and transcription services to a variety of organizations in addition to the Courts, such as corporate boards, law firms and official examiner offices. |

| New Media Web Design and Marketing (Diploma, 2 years): Focus on front-end subjects such as layout, usability and graphic design and you will learn enough programming fundamentals to work in a collaborative project environment. Graduates of this program may find employment in web layout and design, Flash application development, e-learning, and e-commerce. |

| Greenhouse Technician (Diploma, 2 years): Prepares student for opportunities in greenhouse management, greenhouse crop production, horticultural research, and more. |

| Investigation–Public and Private (Diploma, 2 years): Prospective employers for these graduates include private investigators, government agencies, and threat and risk assessment companies. |
| |
| Quality Assurance–Manufacturing and Management (Diploma, 2 years): Prepares students for employment as quality control inspectors, quality engineers, ISO coordinators, quality assurance auditors, and more. |

| Wind Power Technology (Diploma, 2 years): Provides Fundamental training in the electrical, electronic, and mechanical aspects of the wind power industry, with a focus on wind turbine maintenance and electrical power production. Graduates of this program can find employment with wind farm operators, turbine manufacturers, and contractors who provide maintenance and support to wind turbines. |

| Sports Science (Diploma, 2 years): A program that explores practical application of coaching components, including the holistic application of human dynamics. |

| Equine Science (Diploma, 2 years): Explores the holistic nature of equine studies, which focuses on horses and horseback riding, and includes practical application, skill development, marketing, career opportunities and event options. |

| Small Business & Entrepreneurship (Diploma, 2 years): Provides students with the skills required for planning, starting up, managing, and expanding a small business. |

| Animal Assistive Therapy (Certificate, 1 year or less): Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) is a type of therapy that involves an animal with specific characteristics becoming a fundamental part of a person's treatment. Animal-assisted therapy is designed to improve the physical, social, emotional, and/or cognitive functioning of the patient, as well as provide educational and motivational effectiveness for participants. |

| Addictions Counseling (Diploma, 2 years): Counselors work in a variety of community settings, such as drug detoxification centers, inpatient drug rehabilitation programs within hospitals and clinics, residential therapeutic communities, half-way houses, correctional institutions, methadone maintenance programs, partial hospitalization or day programs, out-patient counseling programs, and employee assistance programs. Counselors typically work as part of a team of caregivers that needs to be available around-the-clock to patients. |
